Ties the Hands of the President

  • The International Religious Freedom Act of 1998, is Unconstitutional!
  • "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"
  • In that this Act of Congress acknowledges and recognizes the various Religions of the world and requires Action to be taken in support of them, which causes it to supersede the First Amendment itself.
  • The First Amendment is the Finale Authority and nothing can be 'added' to it in American Law!
  • I am one who is an outspoken advocate of Religious Freedom in the U.S. and as a universal freedom.
  • However this law has tied the hands of our Presidents with red-tape, administrative legalese, tedious time consuming drudgery. Whereby, it has achieved the opposite desired effect on the state of Religious Liberty in our world. When one is forced to perform a task, one's enthusiasm in it wands considerably. The law is impotent anyway, as it requires after all the paperwork for the President to do nothing about any situation if he desires. We elect our Presidents to enforce our vision of Freedom to the remainder of the World. No additional laws are needed. If they don't we elect a new one!
  • A needed law however that would be Constitutional would be thus: No monies will be appropriated to wars or foreign policy ventures where OUR 'First Amendment' Principles are not being, with all diligence delegated forthwith unto and upon the Citizens of foreign lands! (This would not mention religion explicitly and so have no adverse effect over it).
