If the Owner knew major Structural Renovations had to be preformed, instead of incurring that cost, maybe he rather destroyed the building to collect an Insurance Payout ! The Authorities better keep a lookout on any such Payouts !
On the Video/Audio of the Collapse, I distinctly heard two loud explosions. One following the other by about five seconds.
