NO-WE WON'T STAND FOR A GASOLINE TAX - NO TO ANY MORE REGRESSIVE TAXES - IF THE RICH REFUSE TO PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE -- THE POOR WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT!

The Debt Commission might possibly recommend a One Dollar per Gallon or some increase to the Gasoline Tax. Well that might be well and dandy for ex-senators that probably use a chauffeur anyway, and have a Fat Government Pension with years of kickbacks, but those people don't live down on the street with the rest of America! Gasoline is so high now compared to its historic price that it takes a huge chunk out of the American wallet. Lower income people pay substantially more as a percentage of their income in a range of taxes, mostly sales-taxes and the taxes taken from their pay checks then the upper classes begin to pay, with their shelters, loopholes, and their built-into-the-law tax avoidance measures. And yet, they are still blubbering about retaining a tax break for the wealthiest two percent of Americans. I believe in Proportional taxes. That is an across the board flat income tax which applies to the poorest and richest and those in the middle equally. We all pay the same percentage of our yearly increase. Phase this in, and all other regressive and progressive taxes out. It will eventually replace all other taxes. We would have one taxing source, which would distribute the money down to where it is needed. The other nations that use this type of tax are progressing very well economically today.
